Daniel Alarcón, Peruvian-American Novelist, Journalist and radio host and producer of "Radio Ambulante" will be visiting the college on Thursday, Oct 24th.  He will meet with students at the college in the early afternoon and give a talk/presentation at the Wadsworth theater in the evening.

About the Event

Since 2012, Alarcón has served as co-founder and executive producer of Radio Ambulante Studios, Latin America’s most ambitious narrative journalism podcast, with over 200 episodes produced from more than 20 countries. He joined the faculty of Columbia University in 2014 and is currently Assistant Professor in the School of Journalism, as well as a contributing writer at The New Yorker, where he covers Latin America. Alarcón's additional works of fiction include War by Candlelight (2005), and his short stories and articles have appeared in Granta, Harper’s Magazine, and Virginia Quarterly Review, among other publications. Alarcón will meet with students at the college in the early afternoon and give a presentation in the Wadsworth Atheneum Aetna Theater in the evening. There will be a reception at the Wadsworth prior to the talk.
